Referral
For healthcare professionals only.
Requests should be submitted through the Heilsugátt messaging system under “Children’s Violence and Trauma Team – Children’s Violence Reception.”
Healthcare professionals who do not have access to Heilsugátt can submit a referral using Signet Transfer. The referral form is available but only in icelandic here:

When sending a referral via Signet Transfer, select “Barnaspítali” (Children’s Hospital) as the recipient.
Requests will be responded to on the next working day after they are received. In urgent child protection or safety matters, please contact the child protection services in the child’s local area, the police, or another appropriate service.
