Blood collection

Blood sampling is a process where small amounts of blood are taken from a blood vessel, usually from a hand, to detect various health factors.

  • Blood sampling only takes a few minutes.

  • The results are used to evaluate physical condition, diagnose diseases or monitor the effects of treatments.

The results of blood tests are sent to the doctor who orders the study and also appear in the Landspitali app 3 days later.

When coming for blood thinners

  • Those who come regularly due to blood thinners can attend at any time during the day.

  • If you arrive after 11 am, the dose will be sent the next working day.
