Statement by the Iceland Health regarding news of information broadcast to service recipients and healthcare professionals

Iceland Health regrets that information for healthcare was mistakenly sent out to a limited group of service recipients and healthcare professionals, in connection with a change in the transmission of data. Processing was stopped as soon as the case was discovered.

From 1 April 2025, letters of individuals will only be sent to the Digital mailbox at Ísland.is and letters will cease to be sent to legal domicile.

A new contract has been awarded for wheelchairs and walking aids

Iceland Health held an invitation to tender for a framework contract for the purchase of hand-driven wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs and walking aids for health insured individuals at the end of last year.
