Drug renewals

The purpose of the HSA drug renewal service is that individuals who are under regular supervision of HSA doctors can renew their medicines in a short period of time provided that necessary supervision is not performed for the medicines or the disease in question.

Individuals in the HSA service area who are not under regular supervision from the institution’s doctors but need a renewal of a specific medicine, should generally turn to the doctor or the institution that follows up the treatment.

Fixed medicines can be renewed:

  • Electronically via Heilsuveru.

  • Call 470 3020 every weekday from 9 to 10:30.

  • It is noted that medicines that are not considered solids are prescribed primarily after a consultation with a doctor.

  • It can be assumed that the delivery of medicines can take up to 2-3 working days.

  • You can make an appointment with a doctor at the same phone number, 470 3020, for strong painkillers, sedatives, sleep aids or other prescription medicines. The waiting period for such appointments may be up to 1 week.

For HSA drug renewals:

  • Antibiotics, prescription medications, strong painkillers, sedatives, and sleeping pills are only prescribed after consulting a doctor.

  • If you are taking medicines for dosing, it is preferable to deliver or send a dose card from a pharmacy to your healthcare center.

  • The rule of thumb is that everyone who regularly uses medicine should be checked annually at the healthcare center.

  • The replacement of z-labelled medicinal products is in the hands of the appropriate specialist physicians who supervise the treatment.
