Breast screening
If you have symptoms in your breast you can contact 1700 or the Heilsuvera online chat for a priority appointment for an examination.
Breast cancer screening
Breast screening is an examination of the breasts for asymptomatic women. All women aged 40 to 74 should receive invitations for breast screening. The Cancer Screening Coordination Center is responsible for sending invitation letters for breast screening to all women.
Appointments for breast cancer screening
Women aged:
40 to 69 years receive an invitation every two years.
70 to 74 years receive an invitation every three years.
Women older than 74 do not receive an invitation letter but are welcome to attend screening.
