Measurement table and statistics

Registered Unemployment

The registered unemployment rate is calculated by:

  • number of days (total number of days) that the person was unemployed on each working day in the month (working days are all days except Saturdays and Sundays).

  • The total number of unemployment days is then converted into the average number of individuals who were unemployed each day.

  • divide this number by the number of people in the labour market, to get the percentage that shows the unemployment rate in the month.

Monthly reports contain unemployment and other statistics.
