The Directorate of Labour is responsible for calculations and payments during parental leave as well as other financial support for parents. These may include maternity, residence, adoption and grief support.

Registrations for unpaid parental leave are also kept.

The Multicultural Department of the Directorate of Labour provides advice to immigrants.

The Directorate of Immigration also services refugees through municipalities and provides applicants for international protection with basic services such as housing and healthcare in emergency situations.
