Applications are now accepted for regional quota for the fishing year 2023/2024.

On 31st of January the Directorate of Fisheries received a notification from Arctic Fish that a 30 x 10cm hole had been found in sea farm number 7 in Haukadalsbót in Dýrafjörður.
Remotely Piloted Aircrafts will be used for monitoring by the Directorate of Fisheries in February and we would like to ask fishermen to keep in mind that all recordings are carefully examined and fish that goes overboard is species analyzed.

The exchange market opens today, Monday, January 22nd, 2024 at 14:00. The deadline for submitting offers is until 14:00 on Monday 29th of January 2024.

The update of the VOR system will take place on Monday 22nd of January between 10 -11 am and we recommend that users do not work on the system during this time.

The error that occurred in the Directorate of Fisheries systems has been fixed, and we have therefore reopened for electronic transfers.

When updating systems last Sunday, some landings of last fishing year are undercounted. This means that registration of the catch quota from last year is in some cases incorrect.
