Care of boilers

Courses for those working on equipment using steam, in particular those responsible for the daily care of boiler systems.

Steam boilers are widely used, including washing and chemical pools, restaurants and mass kitchens, waste incineration plants, fish-melters, candy-making processes, soda and ale-making processes.

When is the course taught?

The course is scheduled once or twice a year.

Organisation

The course is six hours. It is composed of lectures, pictures, videos and discussions.

Curriculum

  • Construction and function of boiler systems;

  • Operation and implementation of daily supervision and care services related to steam and hot water boilers.

  • Tests on boiler safety equipment

  • Water on boiler systems. What to keep in mind so that corrosion and deposits are less in the water when used.

  • Steam generators, electric boilers, electrode-boilers and oil boilers.

Tests

The course material is not tested.
