Drone ban near Grindavik extended

Due to the landslide near the town of Grindavík, a previous ban on aircraft, including drones, in its vicinity has been extended until 15 December. Media will be granted conditional exemptions.

Concerning the period of validity of the certificate of seaworthiness

A new register of ships, Skútan, introduced the procedure of issuing a certificate of seaworthiness with full validity, even in the case the result of the inspection was remark 2.

In 2024, Icetra will host examiner standardisation courses for examiner's certificates (TRE/SFE/CRE) on 8 February and 12 September.
