Icelandic Teaching for Foreigners
Grants are awarded to educators and providers of education in Icelandic which is not a part of public education at the primary or secondary level.
The aim of the grants is to give everyone who resides in this country and is registered with a legal domicile in the National Registry the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills in Icelandic to become active members of society in Iceland.
Recognised educational providers are eligible to apply, as are companies and institutions that have an agreement with recognised educational providers who will be responsible for the teaching.
All applications must be submitted electronically through the Rannís application portal.
On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Children's Affairs, Rannís administers grants for teaching Icelandic to foreigners.
