Only applications submitted through the Rannís electronic application system – My Pages – will be accepted. If the user is abroad, it may be necessary to use the authentication app rather than authentication via a phone number.

Applications must meet all eligibility criteria to receive a professional evaluation. If it becomes apparent during the evaluation process that one or more criteria are not met, the application will be withdrawn from the evaluation process.

The grant can cover up to 75% of the total infrastructure cost, excluding VAT. It is not possible to apply for a grant for costs that have been paid before the grant is awarded.

The Infrastructure Fund Handbook applies to applicants and the fund's expert panel. Its purpose is to increase the transparency of the process for everyone involved, from the announcement of the application deadline to the awarding of grants. The handbook contains the fund's rules and various useful information, such as the rights and obligations of grant recipients. The handbook is published in connection with the advertised application deadlines.

Conditions for allocation

The applicant is expected to provide a matching contribution of at least 25%.

The contribution from the Infrastructure Fund shall be a minimum of ISK 3 million for equipment purchase, development, upgrade or maintenance. There is no minimum for an access grant.
