All Ownership changes must be reported electronically on My pages at Ísland.is, under Assets and then Machines.
Both the buyer and the seller must confirm the notification using electronic ID after it has been submitted.
Exemptions apply to estates in bankruptcy and estates of deceased persons, as these parties do not have access to the island.is portal.
