Administration of Occupational Safety and Health: Registration and inspection of work machines and equipment
How often does a work machine need to be inspected?
Most types of work machines must be inspected annually. The inspection date is shown on the inspection sticker, which is linked to the machine’s registration number.
The owner of the machine is responsible for ensuring that the machine is inspected. This is an important part of maintaining workplace safety—regular inspections and proper maintenance help ensure that work machines remain safe to use.
Further information on the inspection process is available here.
You can also request an inspection for your machine via this page.
