Icelandic entities can participate in projects as partners in international cooperation projects within the EEA. Applications are submitted by organisations in beneficiary countries through open calls.
The grants support projects in areas such as:
Research
Innovation
Education
Culture
Local development
The green transition
Projects must involve cooperation between countries, and participation from EEA EFTA states is required.
Who can apply?
Companies, universities, research institutions, public bodies, municipalities and NGOs can participate as project partners.
Applications are submitted by organisations in beneficiary countries, and Icelandic entities cannot apply as lead applicants

Applications are not submitted through Rannís.
Applications are submitted by organisations in beneficiary countries through open calls within each programme. Icelandic entities participate as partners in these applications.
