Half old age pension

With full entitlement, the amount of the half old age pension is 166.597 ISK per month from.

In addition, you may:

• have up to 325,000 krónur per month before tax from pension funds and in capital income, e.g. interest on bank deposits, rental income and the like

• work for up to ISK 200,000 per month, without the payment of half an old-age pension decreasing

If your income from your employer, capital income or payment from your pension fund is higher than this, the payment of your old age pension from the Social Insurance Administration is reduced.
