Half old age pension

With full entitlement, the amount of the half old age pension is 182.796 ISK per month before taxes.

In addition, you may:

• have up to 341.900 ISK per month before tax from pension funds and in capital income, e.g. interest on bank deposits, rental income and the like,

• work for up to 2.524.800 ISK per month, without the payment of half an old-age pension decreasing.

If your income from your employer, capital income or payment from your pension fund is higher than this, the payment of your old age pension from the Social Insurance Administration is reduced.
