Seeking a toolpusher

Iceland Drilling Company (IDC) is an international leader in geothermal drilling, committed to providing safe and efficient drilling solutions with a focus on sustainability. Currently, we are seeking skilled and experienced toolpushers to join our team for a long-term geothermal drilling projects in Iceland.

Position Overview:

As a Tool Pusher, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations on our advanced drilling rigs. You will ensure that all drilling activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all technical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• The Toolpusher manages the drilling project in accordance with the current contracts and company procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate drilling crew activities to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations.
• Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of the drilling equipment.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and maintain compliance with industry.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years experience as Toolpusher is highly preferred.
• Experience with Drillmec and/or Bentec Euro Rig is highly preferred.
• Current IWCF Well Control Certificate Level 3 or higher is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and fluent English language.
• Excellent organisational planning and leadership abilities.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Safety conscious with a commitment to maintain high safety standards.
• Valid driver´s licence.
• Forklift licence for 10 tons + preferred.

Employer can not assist with housing.

Full time job – shift work; work arrangements vary depending on the project.
Wages according to collective agreements with Framsýn workers union.
