Six Rivers Iceland is seeking three experienced Salmon Fly Fishing Guides for the 2026 summer season (1 July – 10 September).
This role combines professional river guiding with high-level hospitality. We are looking for skilled, service-minded individuals who are passionate about salmon fly fishing and who take pride in delivering outstanding guest experiences.

As a Salmon Guide, you will:
• Guide guests on our salmon rivers in North-East Iceland.
• Transfer domestic and international guests to and from the river using 4x4 vehicles.
• Deliver arrival briefings and ensure guests understand safety procedures and river etiquette.
• Assist guests with equipment setup, including rods, reels, leaders, and fly selection.
• Provide hands-on instruction in salmon fly fishing techniques, including surface fishing where conditions allow.
• Support guests throughout their fishing sessions on and off the riverbank.
• Help maximize each guest’s experience and success while maintaining a professional and positive atmosphere.
• Work closely with fellow guides as part of a strong and supportive team.
• Assist lodge operations when required if river bookings allow.

Daily Schedule (Typical):
Guests meet guides at 15:30 for afternoon fishing. The fishing session runs approximately 16:00–21:00. Staff dinner follows the evening shift. Morning session begins at 08:00 after breakfast. Fishing runs from 08:00–13:00. Lunch and break are from 13:00–16:00. Flexibility is required depending on river conditions and guest needs.

Requirements:
Applicants must:
• Have extensive experience as a fly fishing angler, specifically targeting Atlantic salmon.
• Have previous guiding experience on a salmon river.
• Be highly knowledgeable in fly presentation, including surface techniques.
• Speak fluent English (Spanish and/or French is an advantage).
• Be at least 25 years of age.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving 4x4 vehicles.
• Demonstrate strong hospitality skills and a service-oriented mindset.
• Be punctual, responsible, and able to work in a structured team environment.
• Have a genuine passion for fly fishing and working outdoors.

Salary and Collective Agreement:
Salary is paid according to the Collective Agreement between SA and AFL 2024–2028.
Work Arrangement / Working Hours:
Shift work from 09:00–13:00 and 16:00–20:00.
