A small family-run country hotel located in the rural Westfjords of Iceland is looking for qualified staff for the summer season, running from 24 May 2026 to 16 September 2026.

Job description
• Experienced housekeeper that takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and completing all tasks efficiently and within the required timeframe. Part of the housekeeping responsibilities is to wash the linen from the rooms and take care of the laundry on site.
• Friendly, service-oriented individual who enjoys assisting restaurant clients and is willing and able to handle all job tasks, including dishwashing, kitchen duties, and housekeeping.

Requirements
• Proven professional skills with references.
• No criminal record; non-smoker; no substance use.
• Service-oriented, organized, dependable, hardworking, and healthy.
• Works well independently and in teams; meets project deadlines.
• Shows initiative and flexibility.
• Proficient in English.

Work schedule: 5–6 days per week with 1–2 days off.
Morning shift: 09:00–13:00 (sometimes 09:00–14:00 or 09:00–15:00)
4–6 hours per day depending on needs.
Evening shift: 17:00–21:00


About the Hotel
The hotel is located in the Westfjords of Iceland, situated near some of the region's most notable natural attractions. With a total of only 12 bedrooms, the hotel can accommodate up to a maximum of 25-30 guests overnight. Each guest room is equipped with a private bathroom, ensuring comfort and convenience for all visitors. The hotel has also a kitchen and dining room servicing breakfast and dinner in the evening.
Accommodation for employees is available on-site for the employees, featuring access to communal kitchen, living room, and common bathroom facilities within the designated staff building which includes Wi-Fi and electricity/heat and drinking water.

Salary based on collective agreements beetween SGS/SA.
