Chef with experience - Húsahótel ehf.
For the summer of 2026, Aldan restaurant, part of Hotel Aldan, is looking for a Chef de partie to join our team for the season. The restaurant is in Seyðisfjörður, a small town in the east of Iceland. This fast-paced restaurant, located in the heart of Seyðisfjörður, brings joy to many people who would like to experience the great quality of Nordic food or just simply enjoy a refreshing drink. The menu offers Icelandic cuisine with an international touch. We use produce provided by the local organic farm and fresh fish caught in our fjord.
Job details/requirements:
• Be available for the summer season (from either mid May or beginning of June)
• Have experience working in professional kitchens
• Support the head chef in the daily operation and work
• Work according to the menu specifications, but also bring your own input for new menu ideas
• Always keep work area in hygienic conditions
• Prepare the daily mise-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
• Be flexible and company minded
What we offer you:
• A good salary according to Icelandic union and experience. Approx 750.000 ISK per month and overtime for extra hours.
