Dekkjalíf is looking for an experienced and reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate must have solid knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. The role requires the ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment to identify faults, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and carry out the necessary repairs efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform vehicle diagnostics using computerized diagnostic tools
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
Carry out repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance
Inspect vehicles and ensure work is completed to a high standard
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Follow company procedures and safety regulations

Requirements:
Experience as an Automotive Mechanic
Good knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures
Ability to use computer diagnostic systems and tools
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good work ethic and reliability
Basic English skills required
Relevant education, certification, or extensive work experience is an advantage

Wages according to collective agreements with relevant unions in Iceland.
Overtime is paid separately in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.

Working Hours:
This is a full-time position. Working hours are generally Monday through Friday, approximately eight hours per day.
The exact schedule will be agreed upon with the employee and arranged in accordance with applicable regulations.
