About Contradictum Advisory ehf.

Contradictum Advisory ehf. is a startup dedicated to advising international intellectual property holders in the management and licensing their assets with the objective to steer part of that revenue stream into underfunded projects in Iceland. Particular emphasis is placed on projects that both serve an immediate domestic need in Iceland and that would meet eligibility requirements under the European Union Green Bond Standard and qualify for the Nordic Swan ecolabel.
Associate Development Director and Advisor.

This is a client-facing position comprised of two primary areas of competence. The first is in providing advisory and consulting services to intellectual property owners in the North American Market with respect to the use, management, and monetization of their IP portfolios. The second is in facilitating the investment of IP derived revenue into Iceland-based projects. Our customer base is comprised of individuals, privately held companies, and family offices who are open diversifying their holdings in EEA and EFTA jurisdictions. Your role will be to effectively assist clients with maximizing IP derived revenue and presenting opportunities to invest that revenue into target projects in Iceland. A solid understanding of intellectual property, contracts, procurement processes is essential.

Main tasks and Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic direction to clients with respect to intellectual property licensing within the relevant jurisdictional frameworks of each client portfolio.
• Prepare and present pitch decks to potential investment partners.
• Develop investment-ready Iceland-based project proposals.
• Manage and develop local network of interested counterpart stakeholder and professional service providers related to each project proposal.
• Identify and liaise with potential new high-net-worth individual investors and small-midsized family office clients in North, Central, and South American markets.
• Demonstrate extraordinary discretion in all interactions with clients, maintaining the utmost in confidentiality and candor.

Education and licensing:
• Advanced university-level business or legal education required. Doctorate of Jurisprudence or Masters of Business Administration with coursework in contracts or international transactions from a top university strongly preferred.
• Educational coursework in environmental or natural resources usage from an Icelandic University preferred.
• Admittance to practice before to any US Federal Court.
• Membership in any North America-based First Nation or Tribal Bar Association strongly preferred.

Qualification Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in intellectual property licensing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in real property development or prime-contractor representation is highly desirable
• Minimum 3years of experience in international transactions is highly desirable.
• Solid Understanding of USPTO and EUIPO standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of securities and BizOp regulatory standards and requirements is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate effectively in a multi-time-zone framework convenient to international client domestic work hours.

Language Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation English skills are essential. Additional languages are beneficial.

Compensation:
Compensation is chiefly commission based plus a minimum base salary of 500,000 ISK per month.

Work Hours:
Flexible working hours generally overlapping with the North American Market. Schedule is expected to vary based on specific client/project needs.
