What you can bring or order to Iceland
Conditions for duty-free allowances
The general conditions for duty-free allowances are as follows:
Goods carried with you
As a general rule, duty-free allowances apply only to goods that travelers carry with them upon arrival from abroad. However, duty-free treatment may be granted for luggage that has been separated from its owner, provided the traveller can present a certificate from customs confirming that the allowance was not used upon arrival.
Personal use
Duty-free allowances apply only to goods intended for personal use, for the traveler, their family, or as gifts. They do not apply to goods intended for sale or imported for commercial purposes.
Please note that two or more travelers cannot combine their allowances for duty-free imports.
Proof of purchase
Travelers may be required to demonstrate that the goods they are carrying meet the conditions for duty-free import. It is therefore advisable to keep receipts for items purchased during travel. It may also be important to show that certain valuable items taken on the trip were originally obtained in Iceland.
