The rehabilitation plan and submissions must be sent via Signet Transfer or My pages at TR.

Further data is requested if:

  • descriptions of the resources are blurred, for example how the resources are supposed to lead to better health and increased employment

  • it is unclear whether the applicant participates in the remedies proposed. The statement of attendance is also called

  • have not received appropriate confirmations, for example from the Directorate of Labour, schools or workplaces

  • a payment record shows that the person concerned has a salary

Extension

When the rehabilitation period is over, an application must be made for an extension if employment is not reached.

The maximum length of rehabilitation is 60 months, or 5 years.

The extension must be accompanied by:

  • a new rehabilitation program

  • an evaluation of the previous rehabilitation

  • confirmation of the employment rate or units, if applicable

In cases where rehabilitation is performed by a person other than the supervisor, confirmation from the rehabilitation resources is requested for attendance.

The statement must include:

  • clear descriptions of rehabilitation and resources

  • an assessment of how rehabilitation was performed in the previous period:

    • what went well

    • what went wrong

  • whether the applicant has undergone rehabilitation, and if not, explanations

Rehabilitation for 36 months

When a person approaches 36 months in rehabilitation it is good to consider that the extension is reviewed more thoroughly than before if an application is made to continue beyond the 36 months.

Previous rehabilitation must have demonstrated increased work performance or employment. Reasons for re-entry into the labour market must be demonstrated.

The application must be accompanied by:

  • a report with information on the progress of the rehabilitation

  • a new rehabilitation programme

  • professional justification

  • confirmation of the employment rate or units, if applicable

TR assesses whether employment is realistic based on available data.

  • If employment is considered realistic, rehabilitation periods may be extended for up to 24 months.

  • If employment is considered unrealistic, disability can be applied for.
