If a school does not appear when a municipality is selected in the application, the enrollment period has not started for the municipality in question. Further information about enrollment periods can be found on the municipality's website.
Children start compulsory school in the year they turn six and are allocated a place at their designated neighborhood school.
Confirmation of enrollment
Guardians must confirm the child’s enrolment electronically and provide the required information. Once the enrolment has been confirmed, the guardian will receive a notification.

Requesting a different school
If you wish for your child to attend a school other than the designated neighborhood school, you must:
decline the enrolment, and
It is not guaranteed that all compulsory schools can accept students from outside their designated school catchment area, as each municipality has its own rules on the matter. If the number of students at a particular school must be limited, students living within the school’s catchment area are always given priority.
