What is included in the permission to sit in a jointly owned estate
A licence to reside in an undivided estate postpones the exchange of the assets and liabilities of the deceased between the heirs and the surviving spouse receives them.
The licence entails that the surviving spouse:
Only controls the estate's assets.
Is personally liable for the debts of the deceased
Not requiring the approval of other heirs to dispose of the estate's assets
Moderate budget management shall be ensured.
Note that the surviving spouse may declare to the Disctrict commisionerswithin two months that any inheritance or gifts received shall not be transferred to the estate.
The surviving spouse may only dispose of his/her part of the estate by will.
The surviving spouse must split up the estate before remarrying.
