Payment participation for purchase of children's glasses or lenses

Children 13 to 17 years old are entitled to a refund every two years.

Changes in the visual aspect of 0.75 or more, may be refunded annually.

Amounts

The amount of reimbursement depends on the type and strength of the glasses. The refund is never more than half of the price of the glasses purchased.

Strength

with or without visual acuity less than 2

• 0.25 to 4 is 5000 ISK per glass

• 4,25 to 6 is 7500 ISK per glass

• 6 or more is 10,000 ISK per

Double or multi-stage glass

with or without visual acuity less than 4

• 0 to 4 is 13,000 ISK per glass

• 4,25 or more is 25,000 ISK per glass

Strong contrast glasses

• A cylinder -2,25 or more is an additional 750 ISK per glass

Prismagler

• 2000 ISK for each glass

Hard lenses

• 7000 ISK per piece

You can choose between lens or glass. If you choose lens, you can collect receipts over the period until the maximum is reached.
