Payment participation for purchase of children's glasses or lenses

Children 0 to 6 years old are entitled to a refund twice a year.

Amounts

The amount of reimbursement depends on the type and strength of the glasses. The refund is never higher than the price of the glasses purchased.

Strength

with or without visual acuity less than 2

• 0.25 to 4 is 10,000 ISK per glass

• 4,25 to 6 is 15,000 ISK per glass

• 6 or more is 20,000 ISK per glass

Double or multi-stage glass

with or without visual acuity less than 4

• 0 to 4 is 26,000 ISK per glass

• 4,25 or more is 50,000 ISK per glass

Strong contrast glasses

• Cylinder -2,25 or more is an additional 1500 ISK per glass

Prismagler

• 4000 ISK more per glass

Hard lenses

• 14000 ISK per piece

You can choose between lens or glass. If you choose lens, you can collect receipts over the period until the maximum is reached.
