Bylaws of Freshwater Fisheries Associations
In order for a Freshwater Fisheries Association to organize fishing in a specific watershed, the association must operate on the basis of bylaws issued by its members and approved by the Directorate of Fisheries.
The bylaws must include the following information:
name of the association.
address and venue.
information about the associations district and a list of all the real estate or individuals and legal entities that are the fishing rights owners according to section II. of the Salmon and Trout Fishing act.
the role of the association.
the appointment and functions of the board of the association.
rules of procedure, associations accounts and auditing.
the obligation to submit a budget for the upcoming year for the operations at the annual meeting of the association.
Information about the handling of catches or dividend for each member and payments of costs of the association’s activities.
