The annual Nordic law students’ debate took place in Stockholm from 6 to 9 June. Participants from Iceland participated in the competition from the Faculty of Law at the University of Iceland.

With today’s ruling, the Supreme Court cancelled the protected status of Jökulsár á Fjöllum, as it was inconsistent with law no. 48/2011 on a conservation and energy efficiency plan.

The EEA Competition is held by the EFTA Surveillance Authority in cooperation with the EFTA Court and the universities in Iceland and Norway. The competition was held simultaneously in the Supreme Court and the District Court of Reykjavík.
