Margrét Gígja Þórðardóttir, the assistant head of the kindergarten in Sólborg, visited the Communication Centre and introduced the work in Sólborg.

Between 27 February and 1 March four employees of the Agency Sapport visited the Communication Centre in Malta, including three interpreters and their supervisor, and received a grant for this trip from the Erasmus+ programme.

The Icelandic Sign Language Day was celebrated on 11 February, and the Icelandic Communication Centre for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired (SHH) organized a festival program at the Reykjavík Art Museum to mark the day. The festival was organized in collaboration with the Icelandic Sign Language Committee and the Ministry of Culture and Commerce. The Minister of Culture and Commerce presented honorary awards, along with the premiere of a sign language song and a video from sign language children.

The Communication Centre for the Deaf and the Hard of hearing, in collaboration with the Málnefnd um íslenskt Táknmál and the Ministry of Culture and Commerce, is offering a festival program on the Day of Icelandic Sign Language at the Reykjavík Art Museum on February 11th, 17:00-19:00.
