World Occupational Therapy Day is today

There are about 14 occupational therapists working at Akureyri hospital - and one quadriplegic. They take care of clients in rehabilitation at Kristnes, in SAk's emergency wards and in the psychiatric ward.

Akureyri hospital will show support in the participation in the women's strike on October 24th. to the extent that the health and safety of patients will be guaranteed. The majority of the staff at the Akureyri hospital in are women and we want to protect and promote equality.

Hjúkrun 2023 - The Nursing conference - took place at the end of September at the Hilton Reykjavík Nordica. The conference was organized by the Association of Icelandic Nurses in collaboration with the University of Iceland, the University of Akureyri, Landspítali and the health care centers of the capital region.

High level of satisfaction with SAk's services according to the service survey

Every year a service survey among state institutions is conducted. This year Maskína oversaw the survey which was sent out in March, April and May. The number of participants was 4,904 people from all over the country, aged 18 and over. A total of 134 organizations were asked.
