Welcome to the Internal Medicine Department - Introductory letter

This programme is delivered in collaboration between the Development Centre for Primary Health Care in Iceland and Landspítali, based on the agreement on specialist training in general practice, including appendices.

Training Requirements
During the four-month placement, trainees are expected to complete the following assessments:

• Two MCRs (Multiple Consultant Reports) or two equivalent assessment forms for general practice specialist training

• Ten TABs from a range of professional groups

• Three to four Mini-CEX or CbD assessments (may be conducted in simulation training)

Trainees are responsible for scheduling assessment times with the appropriate supervisor or consultant.

Additional Learning Opportunities

• Participation in acute care team training (multidisciplinary simulation)

• Attendance at educational sessions for trainees
