A new product list for hospital beds and people lifts has been published

Icelandic Health Insurance (Icelandic Health Insurance) held an auction on a framework contract for the purchase of hospital beds and personal lifts for health insured persons earlier this year. New contracts based on the auction took effect on 1 September last year, and Icelandic Health Insurance has subsequently published a new information booklet and product list.

Increased services for individuals with opioid addiction

The Minister of Health, Willum Þór Þórsson, has confirmed an annex to the agreement between Icelandic Health Insurance and SÁÁ on rapid services for addictions and early intervention for individuals with severe opioid addiction. An agreement to this effect was signed today with the hospital in Vogur.
