New managing directors hired for Iceland Health

The appointment of two new managing directors of the Iceland Health has been finalized. Steinunn Hlíf Sigurðardóttir has been hired as Managing Director of Services and Margrét Björk Svavarsdóttir as Director of Finance and Supervision.

Margrét Björk Svavarsdóttir – CFO

Margrét Björk joins Iceland Health with extensive experience in public finances, policy formulation and operations within the health care system. She has worked as Director of Finance at the Health Institution of South Iceland, a specialist in the Ministry of Health and a leading expert in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs.

In previous positions, she has worked on diverse projects in the fields of financial management, planning, data analysis and operational analysis. Margrét is an economist and has a master's degree in health economics.

Steinunn Hlíf Sigurðardóttir – Director of Services

Steinunn Hlíf has extensive management and leadership experience from the financial, insurance and service environments. She has held management positions at Arion Bank, Vörður tryggingar, Landsbankinn and Sjóvá, among others. During her career, Steinunn Hlíf has led projects in the fields of service, operations, digital transformation, data processing and automation. She has placed special emphasis on user-centered service, efficiency and a good user experience. Steinunn Hlíf holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from Flagler College and has also attended diverse leadership training in the field of strategic leadership.

On April 1st, a new organizational chart came into effect and Áslaug Hulda Jónsdóttir and Elmar Hallgríms Hallgrímsson took over as Managing Directors of Development and Contracts.
