A case of tuberculosis has been diagnosed in Fáskrúðsfjörður. This is a single confirmed case that is being diagnosed and treated at the Fjarðabyggð Health Center in close consultation with infectious disease physicians at Landspítali.

Berkla infection has been diagnosed in Fáskrúðsfjörður. There is one confirmed case that is diagnosed and treated in Fjarðabyggð Healthcare in close consultation with the infectious disease physicians of the National University Hospital. The CDC group of the HSA has started work on infection control and other public health measures in collaboration with the Chief Epidemiologist. Contact will be made with those who are involved in the tracing. First with those who have had the most contact with the infected and then work on it.
