When people plan to travel vaccinations may be necessary. It is advisable to review vaccination needs and seek guidance from health clinic staff 2 to 3 months before departure.
The staff at the Information center can advise whether vaccinations are needed. If they are needed they can advice on which specific ones are advised based on the destination and time of travel. Requests for advice are submitted via the online chat on Heilsuvera.

Travel vaccinations are available at all health clinics. Heilsugæslan Mjódd runs a specialized vaccination center at Þönglabakki 1. It is open on weekdays from 9am to 3pm. No appointment is required.
