Tuna caught as bycatch

Tuna can be caught as bycatch in pelagic fisheries, therefore we would like to draw attention to the fact that all tuna catches must be reported to the Directorate of Fisheries as soon as possible.
Tuna catch is calculated from Iceland's tuna quota, and all tuna must be reported to ICCAT, the International Council for the Conservation of Atlantic Tuna.
Information about bycatch tuna should be sent in on the form for catch report for tuna fish to fiskistofa@fiskistofa.is.
