A temporary ban on bottom trawling fishing in Barðið by Halinn came into force at 22:00 on 4th of September and will expires on the 26th of July 2022.
The restricted area is defined by the following coordinates:
1. 66°51,00´N, 24°34,00´V
2. 66°51,00´N, 24°22,00´V
3. 66°49,00´N, 24°22,00´V
4. 66°49,00´N, 24°34,00´V
Reason: A juvenile cod in the catch of trawlers, a 55,5% below the threshold.
