Information on the remaining fishing obligation

The Directorate of Fisheries has compiled information on vessels and sent them to the digital mailbox at Island.is of the parties that have vessels that have not yet complied with fishing obligations, i.e. to fish 50% of the allocated catch limit and the catch limit that was transferred from the previous year.
Vessels that are allocated catch quota must catch at least 50% of the allocated catch quota or the vessel's quota shares will be revoked. A vessel can obtain an exemption from the fishing obligation if the vessel is delayed from fishing for at least 4 months due to damage or major breakdowns.
