Catch composition of bottom trawler- and danish seine vessels

The Directorate of Fisheries has published a report on catch composition of all bottom trawl and danish seine vessels with and without inspection from 1st of January 2024.
The report is published in 3 parts to limit the data and instructions for use are presented on the first page.
The Directorate of Fisheries surveillance at sea is a large part of the Directorates statutory role when it comes to fisheries surveillance and in 2024, the Directorate of Fisheries' inspectors were at sea for 739 days.
127 fishing trips were made with fishing vessels, most of which were fishing with bottom trawl and danish seine.
Other fishing gears covered by the surveillance were:

• Lumpfish nets
• Midwater trawl
• Plough
• Halibut nets
• Shrimp trawl
