Weighing of coastal fishing catches
In light of the publication of regulations on the 13th amendment, 14th amendment and 15th amendment to the Regulation on the weighing and recording of marine catches, the Directorate of Fisheries would like to point out the following:
The weighing of coastal fishing catches must be completed on port scale.
A deduction of up to 3% for ice is permitted if the catch is iced.
The Directorate of Fisheries may grant weighing permit holders (previously fish markets) a permit to reweigh the iced catch of coastal fishing vessels, provided that:
the required equipment is used for weighing
Coastal fishing catches may only be sent for reweighing to parties that have a permit to reweigh coastal fishing catches.
Permit for reweighing
The following parties have a permit from the Directorate of Fisheries for the reweighing of coastal fishing catches:

Please note
The Directorate of Fisheries will inform the relevant ports when new parties are granted a permit for reweighing.
The names of permit holders will be published and updated on the Directorate of Fisheries website in the branch on coastal fishing.
