The Directorate of Fisheries has allocated permits to associations that applied in accordance with regulation on the registration of catch at official sea angling tournaments.

A total of 10 applications were received, and at the end of the application period, permits were granted for 200 tonnes, which were distributed among the associations in accordance with their requested quantities.

Every associationa plans to hold two tournaments during the period from March through August 2026. 

According to the regulation, official sea angling competitions are open to anyone who wishes to participate, where applicable with membership in the association hosting the event, if circumstances allow.
