The Directorate of Fisheries has calculated the fees for sea based fish pen farming in 2026.

The Directorate of Fisheries charges the fee twice a year, on 15th of August for the period 1st of January to 30th of June and again on 15th of February for the period 1st of July to 31st of December.

The fee is based on Article 2 of the Act on collection of fee for fish farming in sea and the fish farming fund, as amended by the Act on Amendments to Various Acts for the Budget for 2023 and the Act on Amendments to Various Acts for the Budget for 2024.

Fee 2025:

• 41,66 isk per kilogram of slaughtered salmon

• 20,83 isk per kilogram of slaughtered rainbow trout
