The Directorate of Fisheries has now completed the transfer of all coastal fishing boats back to the previous fishing system. Boats that held a general fishing licence before the coastal fishing season began are therefore authorised to go fishing. Information on whether a boat holds a fishing licence can be found on the Directorate of Fisheries’ data pages.

Regional Quota

Those wishing to apply for an allocation of regional quota are advised to send an email to byggdakvoti@fiskistofa.is, as a large number of applications for allocations are expected.
