Catch Quota Exchange market - call for tenders
The exchange market opens today, Wednesday the 25th of March 2026 at 12:00. The deadline for submitting tenders is until 12:00 on Wednesday the 1st of April 2026.
The call for tenders is made in accordance with Article 7 of the Regulation on total allowable catch and commercial fishing for the 2025/2026 fishing year and the 2026 calendar year. Offers are requested for the below-mentioned catch quota for the specified species in exchange for a catch quota in cod.

When evaluating offers, the average price of the catch quota for the last month is used, which for cod is ISK 548,41 pr/kg.
Offer is sent through the Directorate of Fisheries new tender market system. Authorized signatories or persons who have been granted a power of attorney, see instructions, can submit an offer to the tender market in a user-friendly and simple way.
No minimum bid required.
The cost of each allocation is according to service fees of the Directorate of Fisheries.
