Valgerður Jónsdóttir, Project Manager at the Human Rights Office of the City of Reykjavík, discusses LGBTQ+ individuals and domestic violence. She explains how services for victims and perpetrators can be improved by integrating LGBTQ+ perspectives.

Tómas Ingi Adolfsson, Project Manager at the Human Rights Office of the City of Reykjavík, describes the work undertaken by the city on issues concerning people with disabilities and domestic violence. Significant efforts have been made to increase knowledge and improve services — for example, the Reykjavík project Together Against Violence.

Þóra Kemp, Division Manager at the Welfare Department of the City of Reykjavík, explains the systematic screening for violence conducted at the city’s service centers. The aim is to enable social service staff to identify victims and perpetrators and offer appropriate services. Þóra describes the questions asked to service users and how the screening process has been carried out.
