Educational material on gender-based violence in the labor market
Employers and heads of institutions, organisations, and sports and youth associations shall take specific measures to prevent employees, students/trainees, and service users from being subjected to gender-based violence, gender-based harassment, or sexual harassment in the workplace, within institutions, in organised activities, or in schools.
The Directorate of Equality, in cooperation with ASÍ, BHM, BSRB, KÍ, and the Equality Council, published a leaflet on gender-based and sexual harassment and violence in the workplace. The leaflet covers the following:
Definitions of gender-based harassment, sexual harassment, and violence.
Examples of behavior that falls under these definitions.
Employers’ obligations in relation to such behavior.
Remedies and support available to individuals who believe they have been subjected to such behavior.
