Digital Iceland supports public agencies in improving digital services by making them clearer, simpler and more efficient for users and staff.

Strengthening digital services is one of the government's priorities, and electronic communication is now defined as the main channel of communication between the public and the government.

Consultancy from the project office aims to empower agencies and ministries in their digital journey, whether it's getting started or accelerating projects that are already underway.

Agencies can request the involvement of Digital Iceland in projects that support their increased emphasis on electronic communication, increased automation and the development of digital infrastructure. The Digital Iceland team has experience and knowledge that can be useful to agencies and public entities in a variety of ways.

The project office assists with, among other things:

• analysis projects

• developing roadmaps that map out and prioritise the digital steps of agencies

• implementations

• change management

Projects are selected and prioritised according to their estimated benefits.

Digital Iceland also offers education and continuing professional development for managers and staff on key aspects and the development of digital services.

Consultancy and education provided by Digital Iceland are free of charge for agencies.
