Iceland takes the stage with global leaders

Iceland joined the UK, the US, Estonia, and Germany on stage at a conference in London held this March. The Global Government Forum Innovation brings together digital leaders, leaders and government departments from all over the world and shares the experiences of their nations.

Digital Iceland's vision is to simplify people's lives, which makes the user experience a key element. Therefore, Digital Iceland seeks influencers willing to review new digital solutions and services.

All individuals with Icelandic personal identification numbers have access to My pages in Iceland.is, whether they are individuals or companies. Now the process has been simplified by asking at the beginning of login if you are an individual or a company.

Digital application system for fishing permits

The Directorate of Fisheries has put into use a digital application system in collaboration with Ísland.is for fishing permits.
